iOS + Android, one codebase

Mobile App Development

We build apps that behave the same on iPhone and Android from a single codebase. That costs close to half of two separate native apps, and a change is made once rather than twice. Publishing to the App Store and Google Play is part of the job.

from €4500

What goes into a well-built mobile app

An app is not a website in a wrapper. It has to work on a weak signal, follow each store's rules, and not drain the battery.

iOS and Android from one codebase

React Native, with native components wherever speed matters. One team, one codebase, the same features on both platforms.

Accounts and authentication

Sign-up by email, by phone with an SMS code, through Apple ID or Google. Sensitive data lives in the phone's secure storage, not in ordinary files.

Push notifications that bring people back

Notifications segmented by behaviour rather than blasted to everyone. We design the permission prompt too, so you do not lose users on day one.

Works without a connection

Important data is stored locally and syncs when the signal returns. The app does not show a blank screen in a lift or out of town.

Payments and subscriptions

Card payments through Stripe, plus App Store and Google Play subscriptions where store rules require them. We know the difference and what gets an app rejected.

Measurement from version one

Analytics and crash reporting installed at launch, so you can see where users drop off and what breaks on phones you do not own.

What you receive

  • The app published to the App Store and Google Play under your own accounts
  • The complete source code, handed over at the end of the project
  • A custom design that respects each platform's conventions
  • Backend and API, where the app needs them
  • Analytics and crash reporting configured
  • 60 days of defect fixes after launch

How the project runs

01

Define version one

We agree what ships first and what waits. Apps most often die because the first version tried to do everything and never reached the store.

02

Design and clickable prototype

You see the screens and walk through them on your phone before any code is written. Changes at this stage cost days, not weeks.

03

Development in stages

You get a test build every 2 weeks, installable on your own phone through TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing.

04

Store submission

We prepare the listings, screenshots, and privacy policy, submit for review, and answer Apple's and Google's comments until approval.

Mobile app pricing

The price is fixed in the contract. Backend hosting and developer accounts (Apple €99/year, Google €25 once) are paid separately, directly by you.

Mobile apps — what they cost and how to choose between native and cross-platform

How much does a mobile app cost? At ARTYONIX a single-platform app with the core feature set starts at €4500 and launches in 8-10 weeks. An app for iOS and Android with its own backend and push notifications starts at €8000. A complex app with in-app payments and links to your CRM or inventory starts at €14000. The price is fixed in the contract before work begins.

Native or cross-platform? Native means two apps written separately, in Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android — maximum performance, but close to double the price and double the maintenance. React Native is written once and runs on both, with access to the camera, GPS, notifications, and the rest of the phone's features. For most business apps the speed difference is not noticeable and the saving is real. Native stays justified for games, video processing, and apps that lean hard on the hardware.

What Apple and Google reject. Nearly every rejection we have seen comes down to three causes: an app that is just the website in a wrapper with no features of its own, subscriptions sold by card where the rules require store billing, and a privacy policy that does not match the data actually collected. We deal with these before the first submission, not after the first rejection.

Do you definitely need an app? If people visit you once a month, a fast website on mobile returns more than an app nobody installs. An app earns its place when users come back often, when you need push notifications, or when you need the phone's own capabilities. If you would rather validate the idea on a small budget first, look at the MVP option. Describe your idea and within 2 hours we tell you what it would cost and how long it would take.

Mobile app development FAQ

From €4500 for a single-platform app with the core feature set, €8000 for iOS and Android with a backend and push notifications, and €14000 for an app with in-app payments and integrations into your systems. The price is fixed in the contract.

8-10 weeks for a first version on one platform, 12-16 weeks for iOS and Android with your own backend. Add 1-2 weeks for Apple's and Google's review before publishing.

Yes, from a single React Native codebase. That costs close to half of two separate native apps, and a later change is made once instead of twice, one per platform.

You do. We publish under your developer accounts so the app stays yours whatever happens to us. We help you open them if you do not have them: Apple costs €99 a year, Google €25 once.

We answer the review comments and resubmit until it is approved, at no extra cost. We check App Store rules as early as the design stage precisely so it does not come to that.

Yes, in full, at the end of the project. You can continue with another team at any point — we do not lock anyone into maintenance with us.

Backend hosting (typically €20-80 per month depending on traffic) and the developer accounts. Updates for new iOS and Android versions, and new feature work, are contracted separately or through a maintenance plan.
